Maricar, one of our company cleaners, was 8 months pregnant on the day when the fire happened.
While she and her three children were about to have lunch when they heard a commotion which seemed like an ordinary neighbor fighting.
Much to her surprise, when she went down to see what was happening, fire was eating the house just a meter across.
As the houses were mostly made of light materials, it only took a few minutes to spread into their house. Left with no choice, the only matter she could take with her were her precious kids.
The fire left them with nothing.
The soonest we heard what happened to her, Patrick Achache selflessly donated money for her to start with her new home.
Her friends from the NAP Solutions pitched in as many clothing, food and useful items as they could to Maricar’s family.
