Last week, cinema’s most esteemed annual event Cannes film festival began. The glitzy festival welcomed the brightest stars, established filmmakers, and guests from all over the world. Despite the feeling that Cannes is so quiet this year, the most anticipated films still delivered; Jodie Foster’s Money Monster received a 4-minute standing ovation.

The financial thriller which stars George Clooney, Julia Roberts and Jack O’Connell received a standing ovation that lasted nearly four minutes, making the leads teary for the audience’s warm reception.
